Just the facts tonight. Chris and V are in town, and we’ve got dinner planned at Norfolk’s best ramen place with all the immediate sibs and their spouses. Gonna be a good night. (Pro tip. Miso Butter Cake. Don’t question it.)
It seems like the effects of the radiation are slowly subsiding, and our girl is doing better.
Still nauseous at times, but not constant. Having long stretches in green.
Appetite seems to be improving.
New pain regimen is on a good path, and for the last two nights, our girl has slept very, very well. Not asking for quite so many back rubs - which is okay…I guess.
None of this is to say that there’s no pain, or that she feels great. Neither of those things is true. But there definitely seems to be some clinical improvement over the last week.
As for today’s meeting, it went well enough. Blood counts are good. The size of the tumors in her neck are “stable or slightly better” and doctor McGaughey flat out said, “I’m happy.”
All in all, a pretty encouraging report today.
So…the plan is to another round of immunotherapy next week. Repeat a round of chemo in two weeks, get a scan, then head to Boston for another opinion at the end of the month.
Much more coming. But wanted to get a quick update out for those who are praying so diligently for our girl.
